Java applet Problem

Hi, I am trying to play yahoo backgammon game .Every time I try it says java applet won't load.I 'm running Internet Explorer 7.I went to java .com to download the latest version of java but no luck there.It doesn't work.Please help me out .Thank you so much.

have you got java enabled, and turned off any sort of blockers. Look at tools>internetoption> look for anything related to java/ embeded scripts

did you also install the JVM RE, does it show up in your control panel?

(java virtual machine - runtime environment)

note, its the JVM RE that you want to download to display the applet, not the sdk (standard development kit)
