Default New Site - CSS & Usability

    Hi,

I have a new site which is in my profile. I just wanted to ask exactly how important is XHTML Validation for Google rankings?

I've had help from a couple of people to code it correctly, and it passes validation.

Just wanting people's opinions as to whether it's likely to be liked by Google

valid code has very little to do with Google's page rank.
Ranking is based on how easy it was to crawl thru your page, how many people actually click on the link when it shows up in search.

Why are you using XHTML? Unless there's a very good reason, you should stick with HTML 4.01 Strict, since IE and a few other browsers don't support XHTML yet.
