Trying to make a drag and drop photo viewer.

I'm trying to make a drag and drop photo viewer using two different size jpg's.
I want to be able to drag the small jpg onto a drop zone and have it clear whatever is currently there and then show the higher resolution jpg. Also I need the original jpg to remain in the spot where I drag it from. Any scripts like this exist or if not any ideas on how to do this?

Of course, it is possible, but more simple to click on thumbnails and show big image in frame (or in div).
