3) Describe problem: When adding a movie to the scrolling gallery it slows everything down (which was expected). Is there a way to stop this slow down?

I'm not really expecting anyone to be able to help with this because I think I already know the answer, but if you don't ask, you don't get

My gallery is actually one long image and at a set point I have placed a quicktime movie over the gallery image (it's in a separate div to the image so I can float it over the top). I was quite surprised that it actually works, the movie scrolls along with the image even if it's playing. However, I wasn't surprised that the scroll slowed down to a crawl - there's a lot for the processor to do obviously. Once the movie has moved off the side of the screen things speed up again.

Does anyone know if there's any way of keeping things 'sped up' even when the movie is visible?
