    Default manipulating royalty free images

I have a question that if we use a image from well known sites like getty,if we register we will get the image without watermark in it,,,but we can't use it unless we buy it ,,,, my question starts here that if I dont buy and if I use in my website how they will come to know??? I can edit that image upto 30 to 40 % by using image editing software. Do they have any tracking system or any software to detect????

You're right. They probably won't know.

Why not due it? The law.

    It's illegal to steal.

So... take from that what you want.

It's not much more complex than that.

Really, it's silly to use something like that. Just, if nothing else, use google images. There's a much greater chance that a place SELLING images will care than someone who just has an image on their site. Though, there may still be copyright issues.

In the end, just find some free stuff to use. It's out there.

    search for it.
it's not exactly easy to find them, but they are around.
just search for "royalty free images" and see what comes up.

It's a weird issue. It's illegal to use anything you don't have permission to.... so.... not really sure what to say.

You have to love Getty! and Corbis (for that matter..Billy Gates owns Corbis ). There is an alternative for low cost royalty free images. It's called Microstock and the most popular site is www.istockphoto.com. The site has such a huge following that Getty bought it for $50 million. I just hope they don't raise prices considering that the most expensive image right now is $10.00 which is a Print Ready High-Res Photo. The same photo suitable for the web would be $1.00.

    http://www.sxc.hu

They have tons of free stuff, uploaded by users. Not all of them are royalty free though, so read the user's agreement.

As for your question of why not steal photos, becasue they dont belong to you.

You Could frequent an image board like www.7chan.org
Just be careful. they're all anonymous.
but for editing images, i recommend paint.net.

    Default Large Royalty Free Images

    Hi there!
My name is Alan. I love taking pictures, and so I have hundred of pictures that I am not using.

I am in the process of arranging some of my pictures on my site at http://www.alanwho.com/photos/royalty-free/ all the pictures can be used with no copyright notice and if you click on the images it takes you to the raw jpg file that came straight from my camera.

I hope you get a chance to check this out, drop me a comment and let me know iif any of the pictures are of interest ...

Looks like a good start. (I can just find one page at the moment, but I assume more are coming soon.)

    Thanks for posting.
