please help me get organize

Hi guys.

I was wondering if anyone can help me or atleast point me in the right direction.

I was looking to create a database of some contractors for my work...(about 9000+/-) as you can imagin it's a pain to track down a certain name or trade etc... so does anyone know if there is a script or a method of organizing this... i was hoping for a search engin in a way which includes "keyword search", "name" , "trade" etc... any help will be greatly apperciated...

Hi cheema_gary, a little pointer:

With this amount of data, it would be advisable not to use a client-side based search (as this downloads all the data to the client, sifts it and shows results).

Steer clear of client-side searches, look for a different method.
