mailing list/newsletter tool

hello, does anyone know of a mailling list/newsleter system/script where users can subsrcibe or unsubsrcibe with a form. the newsletter can be HTML or text if user wanted. php, cgi, javascript, but not asp, sorry . i think php would be the best route. let me know, any thing and every thing is great!
