    Good music = Win
    A Perfect Circle+System Of a Down+Tool+Rammstein = Megawin = Great Music

Sounds good to me… Are you taking requests?

Let me be the first to pst something.

    http://www.beholdhecomes.net/hurt_by_Johnny_Cash.html

    Artist: Johnny Cash
    Song: Hurt

    I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
    I focus on the pain
    the only thing that's real
    the needle tears a hole
    the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
    but I remember everything
    what have I become?
    my sweetest friend
    everyone I know
    goes away in the end
and you could have it all
    my empire of dirt

    I will let you down
    I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
    upon my liar's chair
    full of broken thoughts
    I cannot repair
    beneath the stains of time
    the feelings disappear
    you are someone else
    I am still right here

    what have I become?
    my sweetest friend
    everyone I know
    goes away in the end
and you could have it all
    my empire of dirt

    I will let you down
    I will make you hurt

    if I could start again
    a million miles away
    I would keep myself
    I would find a way

Well that's what the lounge is for, chit chat. As long as it's not spam or gibberish, I don't see much problem.

gibberish can be fun. As long as IT's not spam

I like movies. I also make them.

I saw Double Indemnity today, a Noir film from 1944. Good. Well made. I'd say its only downside (aside from the whole black and white thing, which is to be expected with Noir) is its lack of emotion.

I also saw Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Better Government of Kazahkistan. (That is *close* to the actual title, but it is, as I'm sure you can tell, hard to remember.)
It had funny parts, though most were shown in the previews. It wasn't worth the whole 2 hours or whatever it was, but there were some very funny moments. Some of it was very painful to watch though, like a 5 minute scene with two naked guys chasing each other around and.... er... wrestling, kinda, and lying on top of each other and such... awkward. It was funny... just, I suppose, embarrassing, though almost as much for the audience as it was for the 'characters'.
The politics were also odd. It kinda made fun of everyone, but some in funny ways and other in just negative ways. Some of the comments were certainly on (I'd say past) the edge of being very racist, etc.
In the end, either the Kazahk people are VERY strange, or are (should be?) quite offended. Or something.
About half comedy and half stupid, in a way that wasn't funny.
But... the funny parts were VERY funny. Maybe only so much so due to the other parts.
    Strange film.
If you don't like the trailer, don't see it. If you do, then you'll like at least half the film.
    ///long comments.

    Music--
    I like greenday.
I also like anything in spanish since I'm learning the language and I find that interesting. (Though I prefer "pop" type latin music to the more traditional types.)

I like movies. For a period I was into movies with Linda Fiorentino in them. She does mostly dramatic, sexy stuff. But, the very best one was a comedy:

    Dogma

a really great film. I also really like:

Bram Stoker's Dracula (Francis Ford Coppola's version)

It has just about everything a horror movie should have. Other faves:

The Stand (Stephen Kings production and screen play from his novel by the same name - it runs just over 6 hours)

2001 a Space Odyssey - I had seen this film about 9 times in the theater when it was first released and would have gone back for more until I read a short article in the paper about a fellow who, upon seeing it for the 8th time, ran down the aisle screaming 'I've found God! I've found God!' and then dove through the screen.

I saw it on cable a year or so ago, don't worry the TV's OK. It was still a pretty good film except the landing on Jupiter sequence now seems rather lame.

There are so many good ones out there, it would be hard to list them all.

The book is much better than the movie for 2001. If you like the movie, then be sure to read the book. Kubrick did some cool stuff with the film, but the entire end sequence (starting the the strange kaleidoscope thing and going on) was just odd. It also was completely different than the book.

I should make a point of seeing the rest.

Note: the above films aren't my favorite. Just what I recently saw.

Some great films (in no particular order)--
shawshank redemption (just a great movie)
clifford (not about the big red dog-- stars martin short. very funny)
ocean's 11 (remake; original is terrible)
    galaxy quest (so funny)
    evolution (same)

That's what I thought of at this moment. Lots more. Soon.

I liked redemption and 11 but, quest and evolution were not as funny as I would have hoped but, well worth watching. Not sure if I ever saw clifford. Martin Short is very funny though.

I randomly caught it on TV one time. Couldn't stop laughing. Not a well known movie, tough.
