Default Anyone has problems with FF2 under Linux?

Just before submitting bug report to Mozilla, thought to make a little survey.

I recently upgraded Firefox 2.0 for my Linux machine, to discover that it freezes irregularly, mostly upon loading a big image. Compiling one myself didn't help, so it's not library incompatibility problem.

Did anyone experience the same on their Linux boxes?

I'm running it without problems, although a couple of my old extensions caused XUL errors. I haven't yet seen it freeze or crash, although it does occasionally slow down considerably for a few minutes so that something like typing a letter happens a couple of seconds after input.

It turns out that it's the flash plug-in, not sure why it's causing such problems...

Ah, that would explain it. I run amd64, so I don't have a Flash plugin on Firefox. Which version is it? You should probably report this to Adobe.

    Shockwave Flash

    File name: libflashplayer.so
    Shockwave Flash 7.0 r63

Seems to be most recent one

--edit--: or not?.... downloading the new one (7.0.68) and see what happens
--edit2--: freeze during first 5 mins of enabling the plugin... dang...

I just got tired of dealing with flash 7 on linux and went right to the flash 9 beta. So far it seems better than flash 7.

Yeah, Flash 7 never worked properly for me.
