Creating User Login and Validation Screens

Dear All,

I am creating a website for my office using HTML/DHTML/JavaScript. Apart from the normal menus and pages, I need to create a screen in which a user can create user-name & password and then log-in using the id that he has created.

It would be higly appreciated if anyone could let me know if this is possible using the above 3 Only. I have been trying for 2 weeks but heading no-where.

It's probably just about possible, but you'd be much better off doing it server-side.

ya, anything to do with security is best done server side, meaning asp or similar
