Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a software package that'll allow me to create a sense of community on my high school alumni website. Basically, I'm looking for something where I can post blogs, and people can post comments in reply. Message boards , photo galleries, and survey polls are something I'm looking for also. I found one software package that does this, but it's cost was outrageous. I'm willing to put a little money into a software package (unless there is something for free), but not something that requires annual or monthly leasing costs.

Any suggestions?

i suggest phpbb2, it has many mods and is very easy to manipulate! you can get it from http://phpbb.com and an example is http://warandchaos.freehostia.com/ but that one dosnt have many mods on it only a few.

Simple Machines Forum is also free, but far better designed and more customisable in my experience.
