Simple Tree Menu Javascript Error

Hi,

I have added the simple tree menu script to my site and continue to receive an javascript error for this line of code in simpletree.js:

var ultags=document.getElementById(treeid).getElementsByTagName("ul")

the error states that document.getElementById() is null or not an object


Please help.

Sorry for placing it in the wrong area...since it was a javascript error I assumed it should go in the javascript section.
