Text to image rollover techniques

I know of this one that works really well in the browser but it puts the images below the text in the builder, and that messes me up, trying to build the rest of the site around it. this method is atmeyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/popups/demo2.html . Basically what im trying to do is have a styled menu link pop up a image to the left with absolute positioning, Does anyone know of a different way that wont appear the img in my site builder? Any help would be appreciated
