disjoint swap image and define link

i have pictures of numbers when one of them is pressed a main image in th e center of the page changes.

I am pretty much javascript illiterate. So i did this with derameweaver standard swap image on mouse down...

What i would like to do and would appreciate help on is i would like the center area in the middle of the page to have a link-- but for this link to be different depending on what image is there.

So if i have picture 1 2 3 4 5 at the top of the page.

The user clicks on 1 the image in the center of page changes and has link A.
The user clicks on 2 the image in the center of the page changes to something else and has link B.
...

Appreciate any help on this.

I would forget about the DW code. Be sure to remove all of it from your page, including any supporting scripts and onload calls. Then use this instead:
