How to set up MySql

I have a MySql on the hosting service I have, I just don't have a database manager (I think that's what it's called). I'm not really sure what I need here, so if someone could explain a little bit more about this I would gladly appreciate it. By the way, I'm doing this with PHP.

There is no "database manager." Users, databases and tables can be created with the same type of query used to work with data. Various interfaces (such as phpMyAdmin) are available, but these tend to oversimplify things, and offer no real benefit to the experienced user. When one installs MySQL, a simple command-line program is provided (mysql or mysql.exe) which allows one to connect to a database server and issue queries in real-time. This is all that's needed for everyday database administration, although some other tools such as mysqldump (also provided) may be useful.

Dunno if this is what you want or not but give EMS Mysql Manager...

I use that. Havn't had any problems and works well to manage multiple servers..
