    Hi Gary:
Ok, script updated to version 2.2, which includes cookie persistence. The menu style has changed from the original version, though you should be able to get that back just by editing the .css file.

Not sure if I will be able to get back my preferred CSS style actually if I go ahead and use this update. One of the changes I made to the earlier script was to substitute top level links with images and this version seems wedded (and welded) to the WinXP look. I was happy as a pig in mud with what I had set up -- I was just after persistence. Are you suggesting my choice is restricted to either Switch Menu I or this update 2.2 of Switch Menu II??

    Yikes! I hope not! Gary

    Hi Gary:
As this is a 3rd party script, customizing it for additional features is always a challenge, and it's easier just to use what the author has provided himself. What's the look you were trying to achieve? If you have a visual I can look at, I can provide some tips on how to customize the CSS accordingly.

Many thanks for the offer ddadmin. I appreciate it. But before I go ahead and do as you suggest, can you or anyone else tell me whether it is possible to implement (sitewide) persistence in the version 2.1 code used for Switch Menu II (seeing as how I've set everything up to go using the earlier version of that code)?

    Gary
