Hosting pictures

I've always used a free hosting service for my eBay pix. If I wanted, now I coulp upload them to my ftp and change all the picture URLs for my auctions. My question is, since the photos would be hosted through my website, would it add toward my monthly data transfer every time someone clicked on an auction?
