Ajax Includes Script

I'm running into this frustrating "Object Expected" problem in IE?
the code does seem rather simple and I'm calling this event twice in my page, with 2 different filenames obviously,
"<script type="text/javascript">
ajaxinclude("afile.htm")
</script>"
Theres no other major script on the page. works fine in FF. In IE, only one event works, the minute i call the event the 2nd time on the page, i get the 'Object Expected' error and its driving me nuts!
Is there any solution to this?? please someone, help!

I Found the problem!
the scoundrel was an "onLoad" function that was in the body tag of the page was calling . Thanks for you help!
