    Default java and ebay

I was trying to do a fade in slideshow that I got the script for on Dynamic Drive for an ebay "me" page but it would not work. I've tried everything I know, but nothing works. What is it about it that they won't let it be posted and is there a workaround? I see other things on ebay that have javascript. If anyone can explain it to me, do it in simple terms, please!!

I don't think DD do any Java applets...

As far as I'm aware, eBay allows Flash but nothing else.

Welll, could you look at the fade in slide show in javascript and explain what would have to come out for it to be allowed in ebay? I tried, but nothing I tried worked. I'm sure most of you know a LOT more than I do. Thank you,

Hi. With the rare exception, javascript is not allowed to be used on eBay. Perhaps on a page for a listing (I'm not sure, you'll have to check), but About Me pages, etc are not.

If eBay only allows Flash, then what you'll have to remove from the script is the script.

You could write one in Flash, or find someone to do the same. You can try posting in the Flash forum here on DD, but there aren't many Flash experts 'round these here parts.

If that isn't a joke, then I don't understand. Huh! Tell me how if you're serious.

    Hi Connie:
Basically, if you're saying eBay only allows Flash and not JavaScript (I'm not famliar with their rules), the Fade in Slideshow found on DD won't work for you, as it's written in JavaScript. You'll need to find a Flash equivilant. Try searching on Google, such as: http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...lash+slideshow

ps: I've deleted your other thread in the Flash forum, as it's basically a duplicate of this thread.
