    Default Google Statistics

Google has a way of showing my site statistics, and any errors that may exist on my site... If I add a Code to the source code in a certain position in the Home page...
They give a Metatag code that is copied and pasted ... and then they can "verify" that I am the owner before letting me see the statistics and errors ...
I have copied and pasted the information exactly where they asked... but they cannot "verify"...or will not verify...

Anybody know anything that will help a poor soul grouping his way through this stuff...

Are you speaking of Google Analytics? If so that is a JS script, not a meta tag:

it not GA, what exactly are you using?
