    Question DD - BookFlip Script

    Dear all

I hope someone can help with a possibly easy one - I have a web site that uses the bookflip scipt to a great effect, but with one snag; it seems to "blip" certain pages - almost as if the page is attempting to load the graphics continually. This doesn't happen when viewed on local C drive, but I guess I can't see that happening as it would be quicker?

The url in question is http://www.mikepitches.plus.com/ldweb/pages/oracle.htm

Could someone check it for me and see what I'm doing wrong?
    Many thanks, Mike

Try using an Image Preloader script (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...loadimage2.htm for example)

Considering that you're trying to stop that page being cached with some of those (generally useless) meta elements, it's hardly surprising.

I'm afraid to say that the mark-up you've presented is pretty poor. Validate the document, move to a strict DTD, and dump the layout tables.

    Question DD - Bookflip Script

    Dear all

Reference previous threads, I've tried removing the no-cache previously to stop the flickering, but it had no effect (I forgot to mention that one sorry).
I have another question relaing to this same script - is it possible to keep the script graphics in the same screen position when viewed in both 1024*768 and 800*600 resolutions. Mine looks fine at 1024, but it shoots off to the right, off the border under 800.

    Any help much appreciated.

I have the same problem about the pictures flickering when loading but I am new to javascript so any help on how to do this would be very much appreciated.
