Default Ways to post in here

Being there are vast differences in Flash versions, I suggest a format to post your Flash based questions here.

First be sure to specify the version of Flash you are using: 5, MX, MX2004, 8, etc.

Second, Title your post with a description of your problem, don't just say "Help me!"

You can do both of these in the title:
    Code:
[MX2004] Need help with activating a button
    for example.

Third, understand that Flash is a complicated machine and most questions will need a visual aid to get a good answer. Post a link to the .swf in question, or to a zip file with the .fla (unless dd wants to allow attatchment of fla files to the forum)

Be sure to be specific with your question. For example is you have 2 buttons on your movie and they have similar code, and one works while the other doesn't, be sure to explain what it SHOULD be doing, and what part of the movie it should affect. DO NOT just say "One of my buttons doesn't work"

If you want an answer, post an intelligent question with what you have tried, what your code looks like now, and what you want to accomplish.

These are just guidelines, as I am not a part of DD in anyway, other than a basic member, but it will help get your questions answered better, and faster.
