    Unhappy need a script to browse pages on my site

    hi frndzz, i m makin a new site www.cursedpirates.owns.it, i need a script like when u have many pages in a section ,at the bottom there is a menu
    example::

    <prev 1 2 3 4 5 6 next>


    i need this kind of script to insert in my pages as i have many pages im my mobile software section ..


    pplz tell me whats this script called,and where can i find such script

    It would be PHP, I think, because all the message boards have it. Unfortunately, I haven't messed with PHP much and would have no idea. You might ask someone who has built, or otherwise has access to, a forum if they will send you the code. Other than that, all I can tell you is to go to the PHP forum or a PHP message board.

    and Jesdisciple i think my hosting provider does not provide php i think,then what should i do!!!

    These kinds of things can be done in asp as well as php and probably other server side languages too. If you have any server side language available, that is the way to go. Otherwise, as odd as it may seem, the best method would be to simply hard code the links onto each page as, javascript cannot be relied upon for this type of navigation - some folks don't have it.

    if i hard code the links then in future if i add one more page then i will have to update all the pages again n agaiin

    bUT HOW WILL I SE THE SCRIPT IN AN HTML.ITS A PHP SCRIPT I DONT HAVE NY IDEA OF PHP .
    i need a simple pagination script withhout any dtabase
    its like i have pages in my directory like s1 s2 s3 s4 s5
    wat i want to do is just fetch these pages through pagination

    1. please dont all caps to write, to me it means ur "shouting" ur answers
    2. yes, its php
    3. pls feel to ask/post questions here about php. many here are good php programmers
    4. this is only my suggestion maybe its time for u to shift from plain old HTML to PHP
    5. inline with the last suggestion, maybe its time for u to change hosting provider to something that could host php as well
    Please don't mind me. I am just posting a lot of nonsense.
