Im trying to find a script that allows me to have a online calender/diary on the webpage, which needs to be editable online so they can add bookings onto the dates.

I am thinking that it would be easier through php, than javascript. To accomplish this through javascript, you would need to use cookies to retain the booking on the client's computer, but these specific settings cannot be viewed by anyone on the internet. My guess is through php that accesses a database on your server.

Yeah, definitely. That is a php question.
However, you could add javascript to make its appearence nicer.
