OK, I'm desperate! I've been searching for a couple hours and can't seem to find any examples anywhere. What I want to do seems fairly simple:

I have a series of images positioned absolutely across the top of the screen. They are offset off the screen slightly, and I want them to slide down into position on rollover and then back when I mouseout.

An example of what I want to do is here, but the code seems a little "heavy" and the images do not use absolute positioning.

I'd really love for this to be as generic as possible, so that I can apply it to as many images as I need to, as well as pass variables to control the x or y variation and the speed of the animation, but really any help would be appreciated!
