Wow, DD, do you usually get this many submissions, or is it just the new forum?
Now I see why you're always busy!

In any case... not too sure about this one. What exactly is it meant to do? I enter a name, click the button, and a little (blank) popup appears in the corner of the screen, the box turns yellow, and I can't submit the form.

Twey, try it with Opera or IE and you'll see another effect

Cool script, but it has problems with different browsers (as many scripts do )

Ah, that's quite clever. Works with Konqueror and presumably Safari. Really ought to work with Mozilla too, though.
-sg-: Which IE/Opera feature(s) do you use that don't exist in Gecko?

It works best with IE. It was also developed to be fully compatible with Mozilla 1.7.12, and was tested and working with Firefox. It has several components to it, so making it compatible with all browsers would probably be challenging.

I would consider examining the compatibility issues with specific browsers if someone could identify one that it doesn't work with, however in v1.0 I would advise that anyone using the script check the client browser type before executing the code.

    It does work in Mozilla [Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060501], but in Firefox [Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060607 Firefox/1.5.0.4], it doesn't. Since Firefox is using a later version of Gecko, that's definitely an issue.
