Effects in the Yahoo "Start Tour"

I am impressed with the Yahoo "start tour" where the background is been overlay with dark layer and overlap with the tour instruction.

Was wondering if anybody know where can I find the script in here? or what that effects called?

Is there other variation where I could load the data dynamically?
Like instead of the images, I could load a new frame in it.

Shouldn't be terribly hard to replace the image tag(s) with your content, but then again, I'm not looking at the code.
