I would like to have the counter at the bottom of this page. Cant fiqure out how to get it to work please help. Maybe if I could find a counter that uses images. IDunno.

Looks like you either have the order reversed or have left something out, try:

  <script type="text/javascript">
    counterUser="thejbasser";
    counterPage="4";
    imageBase="http://web.mac.com/i/hpti/1/wimg/Shared";
  </script>
  <script type="text/javascript" src="http://web.mac.com/i/chp/HitCounter.js"></script>

If that doesn't work, there is probably an initialization command missing from:

  <script type="text/javascript">
    counterUser="thejbasser";
    counterPage="4";
    imageBase="http://web.mac.com/i/hpti/1/wimg/Shared";
  </script>

If that's the case, the original order you have would be correct, just add in the initialization command.
