Im looking for a script that if a visitor save my page to get the graphics only see the background and in code the code of the background only.
I think I lost you right? ok for example, I want a graphic from this page, I can't save it cause its right clcik disable, ok then I go to file save as, and when I opened in my editor I only see the background in design, and in code the background code and the jpeg word only. (using front page 2003). I need it cause I have found two sites with the same webset and all that I work so hard to do it. they don't even have the sense of changing the graphics with my watermark. lol

oh also Im looking for a tut on how I made a clickable name that when click opens in an external window, not in mine, if you check the page of awards you click in one and it takes you to the person site in a new window but its also in my window, so I need to close one and hit back on the other one.

I really don't understand the first question, but let me make it very clear that you CAN NOT protect your images. People can save them; get over it. Don't try, 'cause it'll just give you problems.
Really.

As for opening in a new window, just use this:
<a href="..." ... target="_blank">...</a>

ok so I wasn't suppose to use the no right click in my web page? just delete the script, Im asking cause Im new to all this of webpages. my question the first you don't understand is wich script I can use, in my pages that if you want the graphic I made, you can't save it cause it has the no right click script. then cause you can't save it, then you go to file save as, and save the page. then you open your editor and call the page you save and the only thing you see is the background only with no images (if using front page in design you see the background only, and in code you see the code of the background only) I know there is a code cause I have see some pages that have it but I don't know the name of the script. also you tell me "but let me make it very clear that you CAN NOT protect your images" why I can't protect what I made? is there a law or a declaration in the web that saids that? can I have the addy, so I can read what I can do and what I can't?

There's no law or declaration that says what you may or may not do with your property, no. djr33 was speaking technically. There is no physical way of protecting your content. The best you can do is to copyright it.

Depending on your audience, it might even make sense to protect the images somehow, like making them the background of a table cell or div, which would confuse newer web users.
Generally, though, just present the stuff as you want it, and don't worry about protecting it... people can get past whatever you do. It's been tried, and it's failed. Again, just how the web is designed.

But... you're welcome to do whatever you want.

No offense intended, but I just wanted to be very clear; lots of people think they'll find a way to stop people, but it just can't work like that with the way the web is set up today.

another way of stopping one way of saving images is to remove IE's image toolbar with the following code.

<META HTTP-EQUIV="imagetoolbar" CONTENT="no">

Insert that into the head section of your page, and the popup that appears over every image will not show.

That can cause memory leaks, apparently. You should use the attribute:

gallerimg="no"

on all your images instead.

I did not take it as ofence, cause you are trying to help me.and I don't like that ppl said oh dear this maybe what ever, just said thats wrong, that could it, and I ask for sincere opinions. and I just ask if there is a law or something that Im not aware off. remember I write at first I got only 5 months in the www world. I hope you understand is like I was a Captain in the reserve in Mechanics. (is true) and you enter the reserve and ask what I can do and what I can't. got me?. in here you are the expert in the mechanics I was. so don't worry if you or any of the members that reply tell me that could not be there. Twey thanks for the acclaration. now what if I have them watermark that they are. and is in a place that if you try to take it out you damage the graphic. did that should be right?, Im asking cause I was searching the net for a tutorial for my group and I found 1 site with all my stuff in it they are so bad that they even leave my name in send email. I request the owner and all she respond was if is in the internet is mine. I reported with the owner of the webset cause in her TOU it saids no use of my materials without my written permission. so Im planning change everything and I will take the suggestion that Twey gave me. now I put that code in the href of the graphic or in any place into the graphic code?. Yeah I know Im asking too much, but hey thats the way I'm. lol

Hey. Glad you weren't offended.

So... yeah, using a watermark is a really good idea.

Here's the bottom line-- anything you give a user, they can find a way to keep. If you don't want them to have something, don't give it to them.

As such, give them a low rez version (small image), or watermark it, etc.

but if you do give it to them, then can save it. Just how it works, sadly.

It goes in the graphic tag, like so:

I doubt it's valid though, and it certainly won't protect your image. I was only correcting the information by cbulmer, not vouching for the technique s/he recommended.
