    Default 404 error page customisation

    hi,

Just a quickie. I have been informed that my web host servers do allow for a customised 404 error page to be placed on their server . My question is, what kind of format should it be saved as? and should I give it a specific name?

    Would something like missing.asp work?

    thanks

It's usually /404.shtml, but it can be configured in the config.

cheers, my host mentioned some server issues which can effect google and generate a 202 page error. Does this ring any bells?

No. 202 is a success code, not an error code.
