i don't think IDE and SATA can't work together...... cos i seen ppl mix ram but not HDD and u have see the spec whether it is IDE or SATA

u should add more RAM to ur pc and if necessary close some unwanted application let it run faster....... i faced the same problem as u when i play some games the cpu usage will reach 100%

y? WOULD u wan to have a HUGE HUGE LCD monitor and so much RAM plus hard disk space for the pc it will corrupt ur pc easily unless u have a game server or mass information to store it

go for dell 'monster' laptop cos the spec is better than some of the laptop and it is build for gaming purpose and it have better graphic card

U should do some partition when u format so that ur important document will not be loss and get better anti virus to prevent trojan, worms and other virus
