Hi Folks,
Back again with a new problem. I think it's a simple one, but it escapes me:

DW,
Many thanks. I'll play with it. And, in the meanwhile, I'll mark the issue "resolved."
A.
DW,
Your solution works (as you knew it would)!
I called the nth-child because I wanted the contents of column one centered as well. So I added a line to what you provided, as follows:

I'm seeking center justification for the first and second columns of each row. The syntax I'm using is incorrect. Can someone please lend a hand?

Mates,
Assume, please, a web site with a fair number of pages that have content that is both good and original--the kind of content that tends to rank well with search engines. What will be the...
Folks,
I'm having difficulty trying to open and play some mp4 files. I have screen shots of the error messages I've received and the workarounds I've tried, but don't know how to copy and paste...
Wow. I would never have found that!
Thank you.
Folks,
https://www.njexpungements.com/newLaw.php is producing three w3c error messages and I can't figure out why. Can someone here please look at it?
A.
I pasted Styxlawyer's text into my <head> section. The page now displays as desired!
That solves the immediate problem. Figuring out why this works and my original code does not; and figuring...
Styxlawyer's text works on my end, too. When applied to the page in question, it does not work. So those who are saying that the problem lies elsewhere are correct, and I thank you.
My original...
No luck :-(
External CSS file has this code:
th.waitingTimes {
border-style: solid;
border-width: 2px;
border-color: blue;
margin: auto;
}
Styxlawyer,
I suspected that the !doctype statement might be the key, could not quite figure it out.
Thank you!

Hi Folks,
Lest confusion reign, I do not envision anyone here tracking down and explaining 63 W3C errors. But if anyone could point out the cause of just one of those sixty-three errors, the...
Hi Folks.
Miss me?
The code that follows in an XHTML 1.0 Transitional document generates 63 W3C error messages. Might there be a simple fix?
<a rel="me" target="_blank"...
These are .php files, and I've tried it only using the server, and only using FF 58.0.1 (32 bit). The page in question is https://www.njexpungements.com/faq.php. An area that demonstrates the...
John,
Thanks for your answer. (Glad to see you're still here upon my own return after a palpable absence.)
As best I can tell, your html code appears functionally equivalent to mine. For some...
Hi Folks, and Happy New Year or (if you prefer), happy Groundhog Day.
Here's my question: When I link to a .pdf file, the .pdf file downloads. The user than has to find the downloaded file and...
Wow! It worked, finding and replacing 1,832 occurrences. See https://www.njexpungements.com/screenshot1.xlsx. Thank you.
Now the treated file doesn't load properly, but that's a different...
John,
Thank you for the time you are spending on this.
Here are three links to screen shots you suggested:

Suggestion makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, it does not work. (I tried to paste a screen image, but was unable to. I can send the image to you as a pdf file or as an xlsx file if you tell me...
Hey Guys,
Miss me?
Here's the question: Can notepad++ run through a file and convert all occurrences of double line break into single line break? If so, how? If not, are y'all aware of other...
I actually found (weeks later) how to do this: Right click on the folder entry for the .pdf file, select the PGP desktop menu item, and follow the prompts.
I have no interest at all in making those b******* happy.
I'll look more closely at other options that FF offers.
Thanks again.
A.
John, as best I can tell, you are semi-right. My browser, Firefox 47.0.1 allows me to set a preference for no tracking. And I did that. As it turns out, it is only a preference. Trackers can, and...
