if you have access to a flash program, you can do this very easily because you can just import the gif you already have set each frame a keyframe and use a script to when it ends to back to frame 2.

they will be full size as kb. and also you may have to worry about stretched lines. its much better to resize in an image editor and use them.

on the layers you're using, did you set them to have transparent backgrounds and then not delete all of the background on them?

if you can download gimp, you can make seperate frames and then save as an animated gif. gimp has many features and is also free.
