Your 'scrolldown-amount' increases while the user scrolls down using the mousewheel. Have you tried to put var scrollFix outside the binding function first?
The Responsive Hybrid Menu seems to have a couple of annoying issues:
1. When viewed on a vertically reduced laptop screen, the last items of long menu lists are out of sight and cannot be reached,...
That solves the problem. Thanks!
Ddadmin, this illustrates the issue.
No luck, I'm afraid. Sub-items 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206 continue to hide behind folders 2.2 and 2.3 when the subitems of folder 2.1.1 are displayed to its left.
Problem confirmed. When the window has a certain size, sub-items 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168 are hidden by folders 2.2 and 2.3. This raises the question of how the menu handles zIndex.
Sroy, the Dynamic Ajax Content script is very old. You're better served with modern jquery. I use it in the lines below. Put the following files in the same folder. They do what you want (I think):...
Do you want total_clicked to be stored (remembered after you shutdown the computer)?
I don't know about Opera Dolphin and Mercury, but my header is stable with Asus Tablet DU9542 and iPad Air (and on desktop, of course).
As for my 3rd point, it solved certain ios resizing issues I...
Hi Beverleyh, that's pretty impressive indeed.
Two questions though:
1. When you slowly decrease or increase the window width whilst the menu is open, the top of the menu may get out of place. But...
I'm afraid I explained myself not well enough. So here's a link to a demo-page which might provide a better explanation/demonstration of what I'm trying to say.
<div id="togglemenu1" class="sidetogglemenu" onClick="expandlength = ' '" style="position: absolute; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: auto; ">
On my machine, the third menu is not visible even if no sub-menu is open.
There's probably something on your page that prevents the menu from producing a vertical scrollbar.
I know, but it's a fixed value. Now when the navbar (containing large text) displays in smaller windows, it'll take more and more vertical space, and may end up being partially hidden by the menu or...
Beverleyh, you're right, except that a vertical scrollbar without visible 'endpoint' doesn't look good. Also, 5em may be right for certain windows and bad for narrower ones (because the fixed navbar...
But giving a fixed top position to the menu will cause its bottom to be out of sight (below the view port). Even if you would fix that for a given (vertical) window size, the issue might reappear...
In order to position the top of the menu beneath the bottom of the fixed navbar, you have to give the navbar an ID, say 'fixed_navbar'. Then you would do, at the end of the body section:
You can't to that with this script. It's a very old one.
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/simplegallery.htm would do the job, but you must have some coding expertise to make that one work.
Ok, in post #3 you put your code that didn't work. Apparently, you copied that 'from somewhere'. Replace what you have there with this:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"...
I put your page on my server here. It works fine. All you have to do is copy the source code.
