it is reasonably easy to do that with JavaScript.

From what I can tell, they're using a version/modification of this:
http://www.starplugins.com/cloudzoom
But there are lots of scripts around sort of like that. DD has a number of them as well. Check the DD library if you're interested in those. Each has it's own 'take' on zooming.

Whereas mine replicates your example and your finances will maintain the status quo.
Of course, John's DD selection will not effect you financially either. :)

I did see that ha ha
I was going to use it on my slideshow but still looking at how after i changed the url images to url of my site.
I then noticed in the css etc the properties of the border / container for where the images would be placed.
At present this has made me stop as i am thinking how to apply the zoom over for the image loaded as they are all backgrounds as opposed separate url each time.
