search bar
Hi everyone. I m revamping a wordpress site naming https://logodesignprosreview.wordpress.com/
If you visit that site, you would see that they have a search bar which searches text only, I want to add an image search as well.
Can anyone help me identify it?

You can only search images that contain a text string, not the images themselves.

Just to clarify, an in-page/content text search may find reference to an image if the image markup uses the alt attribute with a descriptive value. Similarly, an image file may be searchable if the file name is good and descriptive and contains keywords. The success of both however, depend on the person who updates the website having done both of those things (and not just alt="" or IMG0123.jpg). Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to search on text that has been embedded as part of the image.

NGG Smart Image Search (wp plugin )will provide a highly customizable search functionality for images in NextGEN Galleries. Search results can be displayed in various layouts including original NextGEN galleries.
You find more infos and examples on the plugin website.

You need to have access to a real huge collection of images, and you need very strong computing power. That can only be done by companies with huge resources. Therefore, for some time it was only Google with such a capability. Their image search is not using face recognition (afaik), but their scale invariant feature technology works nice on face images, too.
But now it is no longer Google alone to offer such a service!
