Notepad++ Paste Problem

Notepad++ cuts and (apparently) copies, but suddenly it won't paste. I've fiddled with its options and preferences a bit, but cannot imagine what I might have done to keep it from pasting. Ideas, folks?

ADDENDUM: Problem solved: Paste was failing not just for Notepad++, but for everything, including Notepad. I rebooted, and the problem disappeared!

P.S. I really do like Notepad++. It is the cat's whiskers! I thank everyone here at Dynamic Drive, especially Beverley, who sang its praises and eventually inspired me to download it.
