Free wordpress slider - any ideas?

Can someone help me with choosing a best free slider plugin for WP? I've just started my Wordpress adventure and looking for some suggestions...

"Best" comes down to personal opinion so there's only really you who can decide if a plugin is useful or meets your requirements.

I'm not a Wordpress user at all so can't really advise, but try Googling for "Wordpress sliders" and try some of the scripts that come up in the search results. Maybe look around for a Wordpress plugin repository - I would image there is one given its widespread use - and check out the "sliders" category. Hopefully you will be able to read user reviews and decide what slider you'd like to use from that.
