User Controlled Scrolling Slideshow with Links?

3) Describe problem: I have a client whose site I'm revamping and would like to offer all of their PDF files via a slideshow where the image of the PDF is hyperlinked to the PDF file. The slideshow would be user controlled with arrows.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could recommend the best way to do this using an existing or modified DD script.

Not sure of a DD script but if you google "content carousel" style scripts, you'll find plenty. Here's a search to start you off https://www.google.com/search?q=jcarousel
