Unbelievable requests or propositions - oh, how we laughed...

I'm just starting this thread for fun - as a place to relive those weird and wacky requests that clients make, or even the outlandish requests our bosses make of us in our IT related dealings. Maybe we'll get some "dear-o-dear" headshaking from it or even a belly-laugh or 2.

Here's a short one to start;

An old work colleague once propositioned me with bringing "lots of website business" my way - He knew a few members of various local sports teams who wanted small business website's setting up.

His proposal was that he'd "give" me their business in exchange for a cut of the final payment.
So he'd be handing a phone number over to me and I'd be coding/designing/setting up the websites, and from this arrangement he expected to take a cut. Half to be precise!

I gracefully declined the offer.
