Script messed up in IE

1) Script Title: Pausing Up-Down scroller

3) Describe problem:
Script works great in FireFox but is messed up in IE7/8 (XP Vista & win 7)
It shows 2 scrollers instead of one at a time

Make sure your page contains a valid doctype at the very top, which IE requires to render certain CSS properly.

I added the DOCtype line, but still the same issue.
