jQuery needing smooth operation

I am looking for a script or an addition to an exisiting script. I am using the jQuery TreeView Menu (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...view/index.htm), but would like it to have a smooth open/close operation such as the Simple Tree Menu (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/navigate1.htm). ;)

Also, I would like to know how to move the folders and files closer together so there isn't so much space between them - to make a more condensed menu. I know that this is a setting in the CSS file, but I'm not sure which one. :o
