AJAX UpdatePanel stops CMotion Image Gallery from working

3) Describe problem: I wanted to use an AJAX UpdatePanel with the CMothion Image Gallery, so that when a user clicks on one of the images to display it larger in another section of the page, the page doesn't refresh.

However, I've tried using it as shown;

<asp:ImageButton ID="img4" runat="server" OnClick="img4_Click"></asp:ImageButton>

But when one of the images are clicked on the CMotion Image Gallery with the UpdatePanel around it, results with the gallery freezing? And the larger image doesn't change either?

Any suggestions welcome, been stuck on this for a while.
