creating flash games?
Hey... i'm thinking about making my own flash stick figure games... I know i'll need stuff like gravity, speed, and lots of action script... heres the idea for my game...
two rag doll figures, control one with arrow keys other with asdwx keys. If they hit eachother, make sound and turn, do stuff...
I'm looking for tutorials on how to do this...
Thanks!

YAY! Another Gamer! Woot! :p
well, gravity isn't that difficult, and you have choices, "real" gravity and "good enough" gravity.
Speed can be done by setting a variable and changing the number when needed.
There are many many ways to detect collision, hitTest() is one of the more simple ways, but isn't very good for large games, tile based games, etc.
Character control is quite simple too, and can be accomplished all through ActionScript. The sounds etc would be inwith the collision methods.
You can find a ton of tutorials for each of these instances at gotoAndLearn, FlashKit, and the best ones aren't free, but they are cheap.. CartoonSmart
Or you can start with a specifics here and we can get you through it :)

I agree When I am using my T-1 fiber optic line it still takes forever, but there is a lot of good information there. When you go there, have patience ;)
