a proccess blocking program

I need a program that blocks processes because i have yahoo messenger 7 and it wants me to update but all the ones newer then that crash on my computer :mad: everytime i click on something. i want to block the yupdater.exe from running because it crashes on my computer and maxes out my cpu. i tried deleting it but windows gives me an error message (file not found). and i tried taking out the code that summons the program but then yahoo is unstable. :confused:

Just get around the update. I've yet to find an IM app that doesn't have some way around updating.

i found a way i made a program that does nothing (opens then closes) and replaced the updater with it
