Database

Hi I have got a script which I installed last year on 1 and 1 and it worked fine. I now get a message saying

Could not connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

I do not have a clue what to do. Any help please.............

Means someone (probably your host) turned off your MySQL server. Get them to start the service back up again.

ok Can you recommend a host that has PHP 4.2.0+ or greater

Personally I use Internet Runner, which are rather good value for money.
