I'm Looking For Free Software
I've got a DVD that I want to place on my website but I need free software to do it. If you know of any would you be so kind as to post it's link.
It's not that I'm cheap - it's that I'm poor!
Thanks...

There are other reasons than being poor to use Free software.
Anyway. What sort of software do you need exactly? DVD ripping tools?
Actually I never formatted a DVD so I'm kinda at your mercy here. Someone had told me how to a while ego but the software that I had downloaded would only format the whole DVD once I had purchased it, so I wasn't able to. I'll check out that link you posted and hopefully I'll find what I'm looking for.
Thank you! :)
I found something and it looks like it's working... :)
It's called, "Easy DVD Rip".
It's going to take all night to format this movie though!
Also, it's formatting it into MPEG so I'll need something to format the MPEG files into .ra or something like that.
Anyone know where I can find software that would do that for free?
Thanks for your help guys... Much appreciated! http://www.beholdhecomes.net/cheers.gif
Ok... So far so good!
I managed to get the DVD to my hard drive and the files are in .mpg format. What I need now is to convert all 24 .mpg files into one single playable video.
What (free) software would you recommend?
Thanks...

To encode them and

to play them.
However before you do that you should consider whether the MPAA would approve of what you're doing. Because if you can't afford to buy the software, you probably can't afford the legal fees.
I tend to use mencoder from the mplayer package to encode/decode files.
Thanks blm126,
What I was actually looking for is a software that would convert the .mpg files into one playable video. The software you linked me up with converts the files but it doesn't join them - not as far as I can tell. However I may be wrong.
I've got 22 .mpg files so if you know of a software that would convert them into one playable video I sure would like to hear back from you.
Oh yes, another thing is that I would like to convert them to one .rm file.
I like .rm because they load fast.
Thanks again! :)
Checking that out right now. :pQuote:
