I think you mean the whois network. :)
There's a whois client bundled with most OSes, I think -- type "whois <domain>" at a shell.

Web-based ones include BetterWhoIs (http://www.betterwhois.com/).

My server has been down for the pass three days so I just manage to find his phone number, thanks to you guys. Unfortunatly I had to leave a msg. Don't you hate it when these things happen! I was having so much fun with this site too. :p

I’m thinking about doing just that but first I need to contact him since it’s a free Christian hosting service – domain and all. I’ve been trying to reach him by phone but all I get is an answering machine. Also tried to e-mail him but since the server is down he’s not receiving his e-mails.

You don’t know how much fun you’re having with your web site until something like this happens.

Well I’m just gonna keep trying to reach him by phone and if that doesn’t work out I’ll try to reach him some other way.

Oh yea… I did a search on him (Paul Hester) and for a sec there thought he had died because the search lead me to some famous drummer who passed on.

I just printed out a little letter in case I don’t get to reach him by phone, asking him to tell me what’s going on. The site will hopefully be back online before he receives the letter but I don’t want to lose the domain so I’m trying to cover all my bases.

He may be out of the country evangelizing for all I know!

He’s a pretty cool guy from what I can tell… Offering free hosting without so much as placing a banner is not something you run into every day.

Ah… I can’t stop thinking about it… Gonna try calling him again.

Yep I was right… He’s out of town and he’ll only be back in 9 days. No one else knows how to fix the problem so my site is going to stay off line for at least 9 more days.

Maybe I’ll take this time to clean it up a little and add some extra little goodies!

Anyway, I’m happy to hear that he didn’t discontinue his free service because I’ve been having a good time with this web site.

So I guess that’s that! :)
