Css in Cross Browser marquee

I would like to use the Cross Browser marquee script and have downloaded the script and inserted it into my web page. I would like to adjust the appearance of the scroller and would like to know if this can be achieved using css. In particular I would like to adjust the placing of the text in the scroller bar.

I don't think the script makes provision for CSS. However, there is a "marqueebgcolor" variable, to set the background colour, and the rest is simply a case of changing the HTML in the marqueecontent.
