Is there any way you can add a sound to the onmouseover part of this script or indeed for any navigation type script.

You can try adopting the script JavaScript sound (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex11/javascriptsound.htm) to the menu, though it only works in IE, and depending on the size of the music file, the effect can be choppy, to say the least.
